And I joined the rowing team, and it is sweet! Morning practices are early, but they pay off when you see the orangy pink sun come up. And then we do club runs on Thursday afternoons. And the teammates are outgoing, a few are from the states, like me, others local. They like to have a good time, and we get to travel for tournaments, Albert Falls this weekend, and in two weeks we miss school on Friday, take off Thursday, and go to the middle of South Africa for a coutry wide regatta...I row bow side.
WOW! michelle, you are doing such amazing things and being so involved. i wish i'd taken advantage of my time abroad like you are!! i just got out of a (good, i think) interview with the ucdc people, and as i read your blog i get more and more excited about the possibility of going and doing cool stuff like that again. i look forward to reading more of your experiences, so keep updating :)
ReplyDeletekingman is not as cool without you, dude. i'm either on my own, with nick or raf, or i leave, pretty much. but it's alright, i'm getting a lot of schoolwork done and seeing a lot of outside friends.
